Understanding Gun Violence Victimization and Perpetration among School-Age Youth in Philadelphia

Brandy Blasko currently serves as a Stoneleigh Fellow in the School District of Philadelphia’s (SDP) Office of School Safety. In this role, she is researching educational factors related to gun violence victimization and perpetration among the SDP’s current and former students.

Brandy also leads the research, evaluation, and data management work within the Office of School Safety at the School District of Philadelphia and serves  as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Temple University. After a 20 year career working with individuals who are involved in the justice system, her research now focuses on preventing youth from becoming involved in the justice system.

Brandy holds a doctoral degree in criminal justice from Temple University and a master of arts degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
