We are pleased to announce the selection of our 2021-2023 Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellows. The Emerging Leader Fellowship is a two-year, hands-on learning opportunity for early career professionals. Fellows work collaboratively with a host organization to execute projects that advance the mission of the organization and enhance Fellows’ skills. The new cohort will begin their projects in September 2021.

Using Data to Strengthen Hospital-Based Violence Intervention
Janene will work with The Health Alliance for Violence Intervention to lead a research study assessing the impacts of a hospital-based violence intervention program to support evidence-based investments in violence prevention.

Advancing Teacher Diversity in Philadelphia Schools
Malcolm will work with the Center for Black Educator Development to increase equity in the recruiting, training, hiring, and retention of high-quality educators that reflect the background of the students they serve.

Addressing the Holistic Needs of Newcomer Immigrant Youth
Julie will work with La Puerta Abierta to expand community services supporting newcomer immigrant students in Philadelphia to strengthen their engagement in school and community life.

Reducing Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Pennsylvania’s Youth Justice System
Meghan will work with Georgetown University’s Center for Juvenile Justice Reform to evaluate system reform efforts in Pennsylvania aimed at reducing the racial and ethnic system disparities faced by youth of color.

Elevating Youth Voice to Catalyze Systems Change
Anthony will work with the National Network for Youth and Philadelphia’s advocacy and service provider communities to design and implement youth-driven solutions that tackle youth homelessness.
