Stoneleigh Fellow Meredith Matone presented at the U.S. Congressional Briefing on “Reducing Overreliance on Psychotropics and Increasing the Use of Psychosocial Treatments for Children and Youth in Foster Care”.
The briefing sought to understand current practices and policies involved in managing behavioral health needs of children and youth in foster care, and to explore other evidenced-based treatments. The event, held on February 10, 2015, was sponsored by First Focus and Voice for Adoption with expert consultation from the Center for Health Care Strategies and hosted by Senator Tom Carper.
