Addressing Adolescent Parents’ Mental Health Needs

Kali Hackett is a Clinical Research Project Manager at PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Prior to this role, Kali served as a Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellow at PolicyLab, where she leveraged the pediatric clinical setting to improve how the mental health needs of parenting teens are addressed. Previously, she was a program coordinator with the Maternity Care Coalition’s MOMobile Healthy Babies program, which provides home visiting services to families affected by substance use. Before this, Kali worked with pregnant and parenting women in a substance use disorder treatment program and provided case management and counseling to women experiencing homelessness. While in graduate school, she conducted a formative, qualitative evaluation of a health and wellness program for pregnant and postpartum women who were incarcerated in the Philadelphia County jail.

Kali holds a BA, MSW, and MPH from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
