The Project
VietLead is a grassroots community organization in Philadelphia and South Jersey that is creating a vision and strategy for community self-determination, social justice, and cultural resilience.
To meet this mission, VietLead runs the OurRoots Youth Program, which supports Vietnamese and Southeast Asian students living in the Greater Philadelphia area through political education, community building, and leadership development. Through this work, VietLead also helps these students navigate immigrant and refugee experiences, better understand their local and global cultural history, and organize to lead local campaigns for policy and narrative change.
VietLead also engages in a variety of other civic empowerment, community defense, farm and food sovereignty, and health and healing programs.
