The Project
Collective Climb is a Black, feminist organization empowering BIPOC teenagers across Philadelphia. To meet this mission, Collective Climb hosts several programs, including:
- The Restorative Community Project, which provides paid training to young people to become restorative justice practitioners and community organizers.
- Restorative Justice Diversion, which works with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office to cultivate pathways for accountability and healing between youth ages 10-18 who are arrested for violent offenses and the individuals who have been harmed. Once a young person has completed the program, the case is closed and the incident is expunged from the young person’s record.
- Collective Kickbacks, which are sessions designed by and for youth to encourage community building through arts-based, social emotional, and/or political education programming.
Collective Climb is also supported by a Youth Advisory Board, which is staffed by program alumni and other engaged youth, to help lead the strategy and Collective Kickback programming for the organization.
