From Access to Empowerment: Elevating Equity and Community Voice Beyond the Pandemic

June 8, 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic amplified long-standing inequities and required unprecedented innovation in addressing how young people and families access services. The creativity and responsiveness that many systems demonstrated during this crisis should be preserved as we move forward to better engage marginalized communities in public health and social change movements.

This panel of Stoneleigh Foundation Emerging Leader Fellows examined how to build systems equitably to support young people post-pandemic by centering community voices. In particular, they discussed how authentic youth inclusion and community trust-building are essential tools for system transformation.
