Steve Lainez is the President and CEO of Presidential Service Industries, Inc.
Previously, Steve served as a Program Officer at Cultural Vistas, a nonprofit exchange organization promoting global understanding and collaboration among individuals and institutions. He was a Bilingual Health Navigator and Certified Application Counselor for Seedco, where he educated low-income families and individuals about their healthcare options and eligibility. Steve also worked as a freelance Spanish and French interpreter for Ad Astra, Inc., and he was a Partnership Development Consultant for Learning Life, where he spearheaded cross-cultural communication efforts and community projects. As the Employee Relations Director for Congreso de Latinos Unidos, he helped revamp Congreso’s human resource and performance evaluation strategies. From 2013-2014, Steve served as a Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellow at Congreso, where he developed a kindergarten-to-postsecondary educational resource guide for parents and students in Eastern North Philadelphia. Prior to his Fellowship, Steve gained experience in project coordination and policy analysis at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, the Fund for Public Advocacy, La Plaza, Inc., and the NALEO Education Fund. As a National Urban Fellow, Steve worked on the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Vulnerable Populations team on two national funding initiatives targeting education and at-risk male youth.
Steve holds a BA in history from the University of Maryland, an MA in international relations from the University of Indianapolis, and an MPA from City University of New York-Baruch College.
