We Love Philly provides holistic transformative educational experiences and career readiness programs for high-school aged young people with the goal of encouraging them to stay and thrive in Philadelphia. To meet this mission, the organization:
- Actualizes workforce development programs that foster self-worth and financial stability.
- Provides educational offerings that help youth identify social conditions around racial and socioeconomic identity.
- Utilizes community structures to create professional opportunities, navigate conflict, and experience healing.
- Employs program participants and includes program alumni on its board of directors.
- Provides free therapy for participants as they navigate from adolescence to adulthood.
This grant will support We Love Philly to expand its programming to additional young people while enabling the organization to build relationships and share its knowledge with the Stoneleigh Foundation and its broader network.
