Danielle Sered is executive director of Common Justice, a Brooklyn-based organization that offers alternatives to incarceration for people charged with violent felonies. She is the author of the new book Until We Reckon: Violence, Mass Incarceration, and a Road to Repair (The New Press, 2019).
