Changing the Narrative on Gun Violence: The Role of Media

The Stoneleigh Foundation hosted a virtual convening series, entitled Addressing Philadelphia’s Gun Violence Epidemic. Part II of the series featured a panel discussion about the importance of changing the narrative in gun violence reporting and the role of news media in reducing trauma, educating the public, and elevating solutions.

The speakers provided a historical perspective on how current reporting practices have evolved, as well as why gun violence reporting matters and what is currently happening in the field.
