Many of Stoneleigh’s Fellows continue to pursue critical work to improve the lives of young people and their families in our communities long after their Fellowships conclude. To underscore our ongoing commitment to these Fellows and their work, Stoneleigh is proud to support several former Fellows this year through Alumni Grants. This year’s recipients include:
Katie Feeley
Former Emerging Leader Fellow
Music Together of Charlotte
Katie and Music Together of Charlotte are providing scholarships for early childhood music and movement classes to families who are affiliated with two Charlotte-area preschools. These classes serve as opportunities for immigrant- and US-born families to create community and music together.

Bunni Brown and Rashni Stanford
Former Stoneleigh Fellows
Deep Space Mind 215
Rashni Stanford and Bunni Brown are finalizing the development of a West Philadelphia headquarters for Deep Space Mind 215, which will serve as a critical community space to support the mental health, leadership, and neighborhood bonds of local young people.

Sara Kruzan
Former Stoneleigh Fellow
Human Rights for Kids
Sara is working with Human Rights for Kids to support survivors of sex crimes by building comprehensive case summaries for young people accused of crimes against their abusers. These case summaries will be used by defense attorneys to litigate on behalf of defendants to have their charges dropped or their sentences reduced.

Meredith Matone
Former Stoneleigh Fellow
PolicyLab, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Meredith and PolicyLab at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia are working to increase vision care utilization for children in foster care. They are engaging young people to co-create and deliver learning activities that will serve as the foundation for youth-designed and youth-authored publications. These resources will blend stories of young people with recommendations for advocacy and education to promote access to vision care for youth in foster care.
Oronde McClain
Former Emerging Leader Fellow
Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting
Oronde is expanding his work with the Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting on the Survivor Connect program, which provides media literacy and public health training for survivors and co-victims of firearm violence in Philadelphia. The program will now include training for young adults and the implementation of a multi-session format to help trainees engage with media and educate the community about firearm violence as a public health issue.
Lauren Fine
Former Visiting Fellow
Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project
Lauren is supporting the Youth Sentencing & Reentry Project to integrate its technical assistance and training materials with the perspectives of young people and their families who have first-hand experience navigating the adult legal system. Youth and family partners will inform how assistance and training content is framed and delivered.
