Emily Wilson, PhD

Using the ACE Study in Pediatric Settings

Emily J. Wilson is a consultant who has served several organizations, including Washington D.C.’s Administration for Children and Families, University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

From 2012-2013, Emily completed a Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellowship at the Institute for Safe Families, where she examined the applications of trauma-informed care practices in child- and family-serving systems. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist in sexuality education by Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and has worked as a health educator in various school-based settings. Her research interests include the impact of trauma, adversity, and toxic stress on health and learning and eliminating health disparities.

Emily holds an MS in urban studies from City University of New York-Hunter College, an MPH from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in health professions education from Simmons University.
