Submitted by admin on Mon, 11/30/2009 - 6:43pm
Former Stoneleigh Public Policy Fellow Liza Rodriguez has been selected to serve as the Director of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services' Education Support Center. During her Fellowship, Liza worked with DHS, the School District of Philadelphia, and the Mayor's Office of Education to develop the Center to improve education outcomes for youth involved in the DHS system.
As Director, Liza will continue her work with multiple systems to improve the educational experience for system-involved youth, who are at higher risk of dropping out than their peers who are not involved with DHS. We congratulate her and wish her the best of luck in her new position.
