Trauma Informed & Developmentally Sensitive Services for Children: Core Compentencies for Effective Practice

Multiplying Connections, a Philadelphia-based collaborative, developed a set of core compentencies (knowledge, attitudes and skills) that adults who work with young children need to have to be able to provide care and create a system that is trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate for children and their families.   These competencies are intended to guide workforce developmemt activities including training, curriculum development, and professional standards.
