Stoneleigh Fellow Ted Corbin Discusses Violence Prevention Solutions with Marty Moss-Coane on WHYY Radio Times

To close out Radio Times’ series on gun violence in Philadelphia this summer (links to Part 1: Responding to Gun Violence in Philadelphia & WilmingtonPart 2: Victims & City's Perspective; and Part 3: Youth Perspectives), we welcome two leaders working toward solutions in hospital-based violence-reduction programs. MARLA DAVIS BELLAMY, JD, MGA director of Philadelphia CeaseFire and the Center for Bioethics, Urban Health and Policy at Temple Medical School, leads a program combining analysis of public health statistics with active intervention from community members targeting people and places most at-risk for gun violence. And , is an assistant professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Drexel University College of Medicine and is medical director of the “Healing Hurt People” program, an emergency department based trauma-informed intervention strategy that identifies victims of intentional injury.
