Roger Chu, M.Ed.
Roger earned his Master’s Degree in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2014. He immediately applied his educational experience in Camden, New Jersey, one of the highest need school districts in America, where he thought honors mathematics at Camden Academy Charter High School. He previously taught middle school math for two years through Teach for America at Camden’s Promise Charter School, and literacy to pre-school aged children at a Head Start center in Washington, DC. Roger developed his research skills while in graduate school by conducting qualitative research in Philadelphia for the Norris Square Civic Association, designing interview protocols and analyzing the diverse viewpoints of residents and other community stakeholders.
