Moving Toward a Public Safety Paradigm: A Roundtable Discussion on Victims and Criminal Justice Reform

Stoneleigh Fellow Danielle Sered participated in a roundtable discussion convened by the Justice Policy Institute (JPI) on September 10, 2010 to examine the role of victims in justice reform.  Victims are those who were harmed by violence or nonviolent crimes; both share similar reactions and needs regardless of the type of victimization experienced.  Aside from the victims, the discussion also looked into the impact of the justice system on the people who are incarcerated and the families and communities who are negatively affected.  Read the JPI white paper here.
