DelCo Bar Association Hosts CLE on Youth Courts

The Pennsylvania  Bar Association has funded a series of Continuing Legal Education for lawyers in Delaware and York counties to discuss the benefits of youth courts and how to train students to operate them.

Some 50 attorneys participated in a two hour training held on October 10, 2011 in Chester to discuss the benefits of youth courts.  The session was attended by Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge George Pagano, Stoneleigh Foundation Executive Director Cathy Weiss, Pennsylvania Bar Foundation officials, and youth court members.

This training was the first of a series of Continuing Legal Education on youth courts funded by the Pennsylvania Bar Association in Delaware and York counties.  A follow up training will take place in November 2011 to provide more substantive training and to help lawyers understand what training strategies work best with youth.
