Catherine "Katie" Feeley joins Stoneleigh's Emerging Leader Fellows after a two-year Zubrow Fellowship at the Juvenile Law Center in Philadelphia, PA. As a Zubrow Fellow, Katie drafted resources, trained attorneys, and assisted in litigation to improve outcomes for young people in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Katie graduated from Northwestern University Law School where she represented immigrant clients at the Bluhm Legal Clinic's Children and Family Justice Center, volunteered as a guardian ad litem through the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights, and joined the deportation defense team at the American Bar Association's Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project. Katie also externed with the judges of the Chicago Immigration Court and the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. Before law school, Katie worked at Concern Counseling in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and the Esquel Foundation in Quito, Ecuador.
